GET TO KNOW ME
Hi! I’m Jenna (she/her), a Registered Acupuncturist practicing in Victoria, BC on the traditional lands of the Lekwungen-speaking peoples.
I’m here to offer grounded, inclusive, human-centered care that meets you where you're at.
MY BACKGROUND
Before becoming an acupuncturist in Victoria, BC, I managed a busy health food store in downtown Newfoundland. I always knew I wanted to work in healthcare, but the Western medical route didn’t quite fit. I explored psychology and Holistic Nutrition, gathering pieces of the puzzle, but I still hadn’t found the form of care that felt right to me.

Then came a season of life that was, to put it gently, A LOT. I was recovering from a car accident and juggling emotional stress when a friend suggested I try acupuncture. It wasn’t common where I grew up, so it had never crossed my mind as something that could actually help. But after my second appointment, I felt a shift - my body exhaled, my nervous system softened, my neck tension released and I realized I had found something special. Within a few weeks, I applied to the Diploma of Acupuncture program at Pacific Rim College here in Victoria & I was off on a new journey.

During my training, I kept returning to one question: What kind of practitioner do I want to be?
The answer came slowly and clearly. I wanted to create a space where people of all backgrounds feel welcomed, supported, and seen. A space that feels safer, particularly for anyone who has struggled to feel affirmed or respected in traditional healthcare environments. A space where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment, and receive care that honours the whole human, not just the symptoms that brought you in.

In my practice, there is no one-size-fits-all treatment. I take the time to understand your health history, lifestyle, goals, and challenges so we can create a plan that actually fits your life. Whether you’re working through pain, stress, burnout, hormonal concerns, fertility, sports injuries, or simply want to feel more balanced, I meet you where you are and we build forward from there, together.

I’m committed to continuous learning, both clinically and personally. Alongside my formal training, I’ve completed additional education in addictions support, prenatal and pregnancy acupuncture, trauma-informed healthcare, and diversity and inclusion. This ongoing work helps me offer care that is evidence-informed and also deepens my understanding of how my own privileges as a cis white practitioner influence the spaces I hold. I’m dedicated to learning about the intersectionality in healthcare so I can better understand and support the diverse experiences of the people who come through my door.

And when I’m not in the clinic, you’ll usually find me camping around the island with my partner, lifting heavy things at the gym for fun, or elbow-deep in sourdough, waiting patiently (or not) for it to be ready to eat!
